Anderson Silva the P4P King

To be perfectly honest with you, that highlight reel speaks for itself, there is very little reason for you to read this outside of the fact that you want my commentary on Anderson's reign of dominance on, not only the middleweight division, but MMA as a whole.

He's shown us time and time again why he's the king. Then Chael Sonnen came up and took on an injured Silva and dominated him the whole fight! Then proceeded to get choked out and lose in the last round.

Last night The Spider had Vitor Belfort. A man who's striking was on another level in comparison to Silva's previous opponents. A lot of people (myself included) hitched on to the Vitor Belfort war wagon, and we were all proven wrong. To give you a quick summary of what happened: Circle, fake, circle, fake, circle, fake, fake, circle, circle, punch, circle, fake, circle, BOOM! Lights out for Vitor (showcased in the last .gif.) Fortunately Vitor has extensive experience with taking feet in his mouth (NSFW)

If there's any kryptonite for Anderson it's a high-end grappler (both wrestling and BJJ) that has some sort of a decent stand up game. Sonnen had the wrestling part down, but not the BJJ. This guy has both. Good news for us is if he beats Shields in Toronto, that fight will happen.

At the end of the fight Joe Rogan was screaming "HE'S THE BEST EVER!" While I think Silva is the best right now, and even that can change depending on the outcome of next weekend's Strikeforce event, the guy main eventing that event still has that crown. We'll see how The Last Emperor does next weekend and I'll follow up this article with that one!
